It’s also best to take your socks off so nothing restricts circulation.

Although exercise may seem difficult while you are in pain, it can help with muscle strain and pain. Simple activities like stretching or rolling a ball on the heel of your foot can lessen the discomfort you feel. Taking a short walk can also reduce fluid retention, which helps control swelling. These activities are especially encouraged if you sit for long periods of time.
