Below are six facts you should know about Dr. Kim.
1. Dr. Kim was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.
We are proud to have Dr. Kim as a home-grown professional on board. Besides being a committed physician, he is also a loving family man to a wife, son, and dog. During his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, lifting weights, cooking, and traveling. And of course, he is a huge fan of the state’s basketball home team, the Dallas Mavericks.
2. He is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM).
As an undergraduate, Dr. Kim studied at Baylor University where he received his bachelor’s degree in biology. In 2013, he finished his doctorate degree in podiatric medicine from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.
3. He underwent extensive training for podiatric surgery and care.
Dr. Kim finished a comprehensive 3-year residency in foot and ankle surgery and served as chief resident at HCA Kingwood Medical Center in Houston. He is extensively trained in treating bunions, diabetic foot problems, and foot and ankle trauma as well as performing limb salvage and reconstructive surgery. His areas of interest also include sports medicine. You can rest assured that Dr. Kim is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to address your foot problems.
4. Dr. Kim is a member of numerous professional organizations.
Dr. Kim is part of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. His membership in these highly recognized and credible organizations allows him to share his knowledge with fellow physicians and continuously grow professionally. Through these organizations, he is also able to stay updated on developments and advancements in the field.
